# Meta-modernism
---
A number of interesting rabbit holes has led me to the notion of meta modernism. Something I believe is explained exceptionally well through a video I have embedded below. Further clarity can also be found in [this reddit comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/metamodernism/comments/ktdd86/comment/ginsuzq/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) which I think does a really good job of capturing the main ideas of modernity, post modernity and meta-modernism.

I would love to see the Church move from a neo-modernist perspective (often dressed up as traditionalist although I think few would argue all women shouldn't vote or work, be chained to the kitchen and we should all just accept our position in life if a serf or slave) to a more nuanced view but I hardly see that happening any time soon.

I accept I have likely straw manned the argument above but also don't really care :).
