There is a saying about cake recipies: "The difference between a good recipe and a great recipe is that you can mess up a great recipe and still end up with a good cake". I think the same applies to software development methodologies too. Agile, on paper, is good. It's flexible, suitable for any scale project which makes it - as the name suggests - very agile. However, when you mess it up, you end up with a dumpster fire. In the following pages I will be regailing you, gentle reader, with my own dumpster fire experience. So pull up a chair, grab a blanket and let's watch the flames together. I will assume that if you are reading this, then you know what agile is. You've probably experienced your own dumpster fire. Perhaps you are even in charge of running one of these dumpster fires and are scrambling to find the nearest fire extinguisher.
