(if: visits is 1)[## You Are Enya's Cat
You open your eyes and something feels...off. How long have you been sleeping? Even for a cat, it feels late in the morning. Your stomach grumbles. You look to the clock...''11''! What's happening in this house?
You hear soft chanting and slow synth washes coming from under the door to your owner's [[studio-> studio]]. Oh, great, the new album is underway. Will the cats ever be fed again? Surely there's something that can be done.(set:$isDoorOpen to false,$bookIsDown to false,$candleIsDown to false,$cassettesAreDown to false,$gameIsOver to false)](else:)[
You still hear music and the occasional curse from the [[studio-> studio]].]
On the [[stairs-> stairway]], your furry companions await your next move.
In the kitchen, the food sits, canned and ignored.The door to the studio is cracked open. You slink your way through. In the center of the room, you see [[your owner-> enya]] standing at one of many keyboards, deep in the creative process. You're pretty sure she hasn't seen you, because you haven't been forcibly ejected. Cats aren't allowed in the studio, aside from the occasional chosen muse.
One wall is lined with unused keyboards. Above them, a [[bookshelf-> bookshelf]].On the stairs sit your four brothers: Larry, Paul, David, and Adam. They seem resigned to wait out the day's recording and hope for a big dinner.
Best to head back to the [[hallway]] before you catch the malaise.Double-click this passage to edit it.(if: $isDoorOpen)[
The door sits open. Outside lies freedom. You lived there once, but could you survive now, after years of Ireland's finest canned cat food? Would a field mouse pass the muster for your fine, "indoor cat" palate?
Maybe it's [[worth a try-> outside]].]
(else:)[The door is closed and locked.]Double-click this passage to edit it.You pad up to Enya. She's wrapped up in her song and doesn't notice you approach.
You could [[help her to notice you-> scratch enya]] or [[retreat-> studio]].You nimbly (and more importantly, quietly) bound from the floor to a keyboard to the bookshelf.

She screeches, turns around, and shoos you straight out the door into the hallway. You hear the click of the studio door locking and the music inside grows louder.
Welp, so much for breakfast (and maybe lunch). Defeated, you take your place on the stairs next to the other cats. Trying to ignore your siblings' snickers and your own stomach pains, you lay your head on your paws and fall asleep.

She picks you up and walks straight to the kitchen. A can opener is procured, a can opened, and, finally, you have your food.
