Tilde.Black shutdown yesterday.  There were abuse reports coming in from
~black users doing naughty things.  I took the server offline at the time
to stop that behavior until I had time to deal with it.  Upon further
reflection I decided I didn't want to spend any time at all dealing with
it.  

I set up the server on a whim with some interesting ideas about creating
anonymity in a shell server,  but also fully expecting people to abuse it
because they're assholes.  Granted,  that took much longer than I
anticipated.  

I enjoy running cosmic voyage.  It's a community with a purpose.  Black's
purpose was always nebulous and invited the wrong kind of attention.  It
was popular,  though.  When I shut it down we had just over 400 active
users.  That means 4,000 usernames were in effect.  Pretty neat,  but also
a little sad.  Most of those users didn't do much or use more than one of
their identities.  Only a handful used the identities to engage with the
broader tildeverse community.  

Anyway,  it's all shut down now.  I've cancelled the renewal on the
domain,  so if you want to run your own tilde.black set your alarm for
2021-04-13T21:50:45Z.  It'll be available then.
