A beautiful day in Jerome, Arizona, wandering around the mining-town turned ghost-town turned artist-community, we came across an old abandoned hotel, in such disrepair that it had no ceiling, only some walls, and plenty of staircases that seemed to go nowhere. To return to the picture, click here. When we took this photo, it was quite serendipidous that we arrived when the lighting was so perfect. Look at the way the shadows from the arches just touch the bases of the pillars. The arch of light in which the model sits is just large enough that her shadow is completely contained. The lines all converge behind the model, drawing the eyes to the center of the picture, to the model's face.
