No Not Nothing

So... I have this pending draft. I am making some use out of this :-) .

This may already be familiar to you, but, I am explaining what "no", "not", and "nothing" are. As a native of a non-English-speaking country, this never has been properly explained to me. This subject is not that obvious, because in Portuguese (my native language), and probably in other languages too, there is no difference between a "no" and a "not". We only have one word for these two words.

Here is my point of view:

"Nothing" is what is besides "things", besides concepts, besides words. Although "nothing" is a word...

In a language, "nothing" is a word for the meaning of making silence. When you are making silence, that meaning, if you want to make a word out of it (ruining silence), you have the word "nothing", that you may use.

As a side note: the word "nothing", in all languages, is where the insanity (and maybe the sanity too) of languages begin.

Then, you have "no", which is the word "nothing" but for a given context. "No" is a contextual word. "No" can only bare meaning, when used in conjunction with other words (that are in statements or are in questions).

Then, there is "not", which is "the thing(s) besides this". It points to the "other things".

Here you have it; "no", "not", "nothing" from my (current) point of view :-) .
