# Compound inequalities

- Compound inequalities are inequalities on both sides
- Example:
- \(8x -3 >= 6x + 4\)
- Add 3 to both sides, so you have \(8x >= 6x + 7\)
- Subtract \(6x\) from both sides, so you have \(2x >= 7\)
- Divide both sides by 2, so you are left with \(x >= 3.5\)
