Flux

"I am...home?"

But what does it mean?!

That's a great question because the game's letter does not make sense. Alex claims in it that CommanderVideo is dead, yet if you pay attention to the game's backgrounds, several of the words form "There is no death." The first stage is allegedly about the Commander letting go of his comrades, even though he tries to pursue them in the opening cutscene. I do not see how the Commander viewing a world is connected to him fumbling around as if he is confused in the second cutscene. It only becomes more stupid from here.

A more likely explanation is CommanderVideo has rather been in a coma. Supporting "There is no death", there is a beeping pattern similar to that of a dialysis machine in the soundtrack's last song. In the last cutscene, the Commander opens his eye as he leaves the screen, as if he is awakening from a dream. Furthermore, he appears again in this compilation's menus, Runbow, and Bit.Trip Runner3. The third one even has the tagline "CommanderVideo is back!"

How to fix this mess

First,

Up next is a clearer and more consistent story. The beginning should [...]. [rewrite this part] When he comes home, he meets his parents, who comfort and encourage him. The Commander thanks them as he returns to the real world. He becomes afraid to fall asleep another time because of the fear and confusion he experienced while dreaming, then CommandgirlVideo comforts him and promises they will be together forever.
