TONIGHT IN FORTITUDE: Natalia Vasilisa (no relation to the Prodigy) decides to mess with her competitive cousin; Natalia finds a pawn shop belonging to one Yeva Voronina that also sells plants; Yeva experiences Having Customers—

Dali Elec enters the scene loudly and enthusiastically to the tune of “Come a Little Bit Closer” and applies for a job; Natalia explains pawn shops, metaphors, and shrine families; Yeva hits her socialization quota and needs to be done now—

Dali gives some advice to an author and some questionable customer service; Natalia retreats to her favorite, secret, safe location; Yeva has symbolic and strange dreams and finds a free friend (snake)—

Dali wakes a patron up who’s fallen asleep from an extreme caffeine crash and hears the story of the day Jade Irinka was slain by He, Death, He, Lord of Death’s Dominion He—

Natalia makes good on her offer of repayment for plants via coffee, and Yeva realizes she does not know if she has been asked on a date; Yeva shows her toxic side, and talks with Natalia about fitting in or not, and love of the world or not—

and finally, Dali serves Yeva and Natalia coffee and forces both of them to discuss whether it’s a date (it’s not), has a terrifying vision of herself and all of reality dissolving, and they all try and puzzle that one out.
