■ mIRC - Technical curiosities

All these informations below are based in what Khaled posted on the official forums.

Sometimes he posts interesting informations but moves/deletes them once a new beta or stable is released.
Then what remains are the changelogs.

Compatibility with Windows XP:
※ New versions of mIRC released until now in 2025 are still compatible with XP
because them were developed with an old Windows SDK version.

※ He is actually developing ARM64 compatibility for mIRC, and depending of some factors it may lose the
compatibility for some old Windows versions at some point (including the XP).

Some controllers are developed by him:
※ It means, some things doesn't come from a Library, API, etc.

mIRC works relatively well on ReactOS:
※ Except its scripting interface, many controllers and identifiers are not going to work properly.
