Abbreviations and Symbols

• BO | bind off

• * | begin repeat

• [] X | repeat group X times

Examples

• CO 18 sts. * K2 P2 end K2.
  cast on 18 stitches. Repeat four times: knit two purl two. Finally, knit two.
• [YO, K2tog] 6
  repeat six times: yarn over then knit two together.
