Erick Erickson (1830–1919)

Alternate spellings: Erik Erikson, Erik Eriksson, Erik Eriksen, Eric Erickson

Overview

Erick Erickson was born in Norway in 1830 and immigrated to America with his family, wife Anne and daughters Elise and Anne (or Anna) in 1868. They settled first in Carver County, Minnesota, before moving to a homestead in Lake Mary Township, Douglas County, just north of the Pope County line, where he farmed the land with his son John. Erick lived on that farm until sometime between 1905 and 1910. It was around that time that John and his family moved to North Dakota. By 1910, blind and widowed, he moved in with his daughter Anne and her family at their home in Minneapolis, where he lived until his death in 1919.
