3x3x3 Solution 1

Understanding the instructions used for this 3x3x3 cube solution.

We will display three sets of instruction, one graphic set and two text sets, simply choose the set that suits you best.

Algorithm code F' F L' L R' R U' U D' D
Graphic set
Descriptive set Front face
Anti-clock
Front face
Clockwise
Left face
Anti-clock
Left Face
Clockwise
Right face
Anti-clock
Right face
Clockwise
Up Face
Anti-clock
Up Face
Clockwise
Down face
Anti-clock
Down face
Clockwise

Note: In the standard algorithm set D denotes a down face one quarter clockwise rotation (i.e. 90 degrees), D' denotes a down face one quarter anti-clockwise rotation and D2 a down face one half rotation (i.e. 180 degrees).

IMPORTANT: Before starting any algorithm (sequence) in the solution, the face you choose as your top face must always be held on top and the specified front face (the dark grey face on the graphics) held facing toward you until the algorithm is completed.

If you understand the terms and instructions we are using then you are ready to get started.
