Reason-Giving (the mind is great at coming up with excuses) Excuses are just thoughts.

Fuse and Defuse: I cannot go for a run because I'm too tired? Really? Is that a fact?

  • It can be a form of self sabotage
  • Can be harmful

  • Can weaken your ability to achieve goals
  • Can be addressed with a CBA (cost benefit analysis)
