(#dghmwdhaplf7) @prologic sure thing. Will update my `twtd` when I have a chance this morning, and give it a try. Will post to this convo when I do.

(#ur27hyhageq4) @thecanine love his little scarf (it might be a collar, but I like scarves more) so much! 🥰

(#avyvlyec54mb) Hmm, maybe the ending dot. Trying to repro. Below is broken link: Using the exact link from raw feed, (that came from https://www.charlesgeart.com/projects/3qKQqg). And now: Using the exact link from raw feed, (that came from https://www.google.com.com/projects/3qKQaqg).

(#avyvlyec54mb) @david well, this one didn’t break it now. So, not sure what to say.
2026-08-09T13:58:41Z (

(#avyvlyec54mb) @david so, the one about didn’t break, but this one will: Something something (that came from https://www.charlesgeart.com/projects/3qKQqg)
2026-08-09T13:58:03Z (

(#avyvlyec54mb) @prologic lets trying this again: Something, something (that came from https://www.google.com/projects/3qKQqg) OK, lets see.

(#asievn375ukg) The Emperor seems slightly unamused on the second pic. I can almost hear him say, “You are intruding, peasant.” 😅

(#avyvlyec54mb) @david 🤔🤔🤔
2026-08-09T00:28:38Z (

2026-08-09T00:27:59Z (

(#avyvlyec54mb) Hmm, no. Checking raw feed.
2026-08-09T00:25:59Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#avyvlyec54mb) @prologic that link has a parsing bug, I believe, because it is a link between parenthesis. Trying to (https://google.com) replicate.

2026-08-08T19:12:56Z (

(#icfgyfo5ezj7) @lyse hahahaha, but you are assuming you will not do it if only had one hand. Trust me, we are very crafty creatures. I can’t speak for you, but I can tell you, without a doubt, that should I be one-handed, I would certainly manage to chop up a finger or two, or the entire hand!
2026-08-08T17:09:23Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7lk4gorp7l2q) @prologic yup, 100%. You can self-host, but it will be a centralised hub for that install.

2026-08-07T15:11:09Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#peb4jcxbvuun) @movq that’s creepy indeed. A bit… “crafty(?)" too. It found and pointed out what it recognised as nonsense. So, what do I see in all this? A challenge, right?!
2026-08-07T11:49:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ftg4umh3vitf) @itsericwoodward I have taken breaks from twtxt in the past, and have always come back. It is a combination of things, for sure. It feels as if you know everyone because, after a while, you kind of do. 🥰
2026-08-06T23:31:36Z (

(#zmmqqgunfn7b) @prologic sure! Now I get “ ⚠ that image arrived empty”.
2026-08-06T14:26:40Z (

(#zmmqqgunfn7b) The size of the image on the Photos library is 28KB, so I don’t think image size is an issue here.

(#zmmqqgunfn7b) @prologic I am now getting “⚠ could not read the upload”. This is the image I saved to my Photos library: https://cdn-useast1.kapwing.com/static/templates/bilbo-why-shouldnt-i-keep-it-meme-template-regular-90a23055.webp

(#2e22svtawaj4) @prologic any special plans? That’s a long time! Even as I have the time to do it, I can’t. 😩
2026-08-06T12:57:16Z (

(#zmmqqgunfn7b) @prologic it is from the web. iOS uses HEIF, I believe.
2026-08-06T12:22:27Z (

(#zmmqqgunfn7b) The image is a WebP.

(#lj3m33acefzs) @lyse I love rain, like, enough to make my wife jealous, but 10 minutes rain is a short lived love affair. I am not sure up there, but down here it also means you will experience sauna like conditions right after. 😬
2026-08-04T19:32:14Z (

(#hbzdod7brn3c) @lyse I like the one with the single air plane. :-)
2026-08-04T16:01:21Z (

2026-08-04T14:18:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ftg4umh3vitf) @prologic no, what you are referring to is people trying to "cover all bases", and posting on their other social(s), and dropping a copy everywhere else, `twtxt` included. I have also come across "bottle tossers". They simply write seemingly obscure (for other, not themselves, I am sure) messages, or just non-obscure ones, it doesn't matter. The end goal is to toss them on the tiny pond that's `twtxt`, and that's that. And yes, there are those who do it by hand, "as god intended", worrying not about trivial things like replies and the like. Either way, I don't follow any of those. To what aim?
2026-08-04T10:43:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#f5f2oi77yv6j) @lyse thanks for sharing! So many good gems there, timed so greatly! LOL. I have now subscribed.
2026-08-04T10:31:34Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#32ag3dz474in) @prologic yeah, I don't think they check "Mentions" at all. Unlike twtxt.app, that shows you a very visible (perhaps too visible, but I digress) count on "Mentions", Yarnd doesn't. People might simply be ignoring the entire menu!
2026-08-03T23:47:05Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#32ag3dz474in) So, @kiwu comes by today, and says “hi guys!”, completely ignoring this one here. I know I am not followed, but wouldn’t a mention go through?
2026-08-02T23:18:58Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#czgm2ohbzuko) @itsericwoodward did she keep them all night, or was that for the click? 😅 She is so attentive in both! As if she was being shown some treats.
2026-08-02T13:49:54Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#qft2shrr7zqv) @movq truly sorry to hear that mate. Easier said than done, but try not to let others mandate how you live your life. Don’t give them that satisfaction. Life’s short, way short. Yes, duck everything else, but you remain unchanged. You be you. ❤️
2026-08-02T00:28:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
We haven’t given up on you, @movq, you are missed! 🙏🏻
2026-08-01T11:59:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#xh6tdwo3rvky) That’s pretty neat, it will beat using hands and pencil by a few miles, for sure. You call it a prototype, are you already planning for an improved version (I don’t see what this one is missing), or to mass produce it?
2026-07-31T10:35:45Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#erdsny5brqi2) 👋🏻 Hiya @chrisgarrod, welcome onboard! We will all find something to learn from a retired geek! At the very least, engaging conversations. Looking forward to it!

(#mqknar5qpdxo) @lyse 🎉🎉🎉 so, do that means `tt` is closer to a public release than it has ever been? 🥹
2026-07-30T22:17:12Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
I wonder where @kiwu is hiding. I figure we will soon read “hi, i am back! how are you guys?”. 🙈
2026-07-30T17:20:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#pg3lgzthhrnl) @lyse ah, yes, well, you got my vote for the birds too! And my axe! :-D
2026-07-30T16:14:19Z (

(#sp5f3avzqizw) Jesting aside, don't give up, @movq, and apologies if my replies were insensitive. Keep trying!
2026-07-30T11:06:56Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#pg3lgzthhrnl) @arne they are all so pretty I want them all! 😂 Honestly, why not?
2026-07-29T21:15:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#d5p2tq3dtqb4) @lyse that very precise! Make sure to bring some pliers, so you can cut a very tiny edge of a coin. 😂
2026-07-29T16:30:51Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#sp5f3avzqizw) @movq from [Linus](https://lwn.net/ml/all/CAHk-=wi4zC+Ze8e+p3tMv8TtG_80KzsZ1syL9anBtmEh5Z40vg@mail.gmail.com/), recently: > I realize that some people really dislike AI, but this is an area where I'm willing to absolutely put my foot down as the top-level maintainer. > > Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it. > > Or just walk away. > > AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it's clearly a useful one. > > It may not have been that "clearly" even just a year ago, but it's no longer in question today. > > There are other questions around AI (like what the economy of it will actually look like in the end), but "is it useful" is no longer one of those questions. Anybody who doubts that clearly hasn't actually used it. > > Yes, it can also be a somewhat painful tool, both for maintainer workloads and just from a "it keeps finding embarrassing bugs" standpoint. > > But the solution is not to put your head in the sand and sing "La La La, I can't hear you" at the top of your voice like some people seem to do. > > The solution is to make sure those LLM tools _help_ maintainers instead of just causing them pain. There's no question on that side.

(#sp5f3avzqizw) (moves hands all around) on everything! 😅
2026-07-29T11:55:05Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ulrwnjtyqr4s) @arne that is a very interesting approach to magazines. I will be perusing tonight, as I picked a random one and noticed they are very well made, clean, and full of diverse topics. Good share, thanks!
2026-07-29T10:18:40Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#dohtydo4qikb) @javivf looks really well made, and free. Wow! Thanks for sharing!
2026-07-28T16:29:52Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#sbas5duxgkxo) @thecanine so... > [...] getting TV through an antenna [...] Nobody watches TV with an antenna here. See, TV is already a legacy word. News come streamed, either live, or with many degrees of delays. I was referring to watching the so call TVs to be used as a big display (in our home we use 65", but 85"---or bigger---are not uncommon these days). Sadly, they come bundled with "smart" devices which, amongst other things, allow you to tune that over-the-air TV anyone seldom uses these days. So, it is not the TV, is is real estate (size), and video quality.
2026-07-28T16:23:54Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#x477f44u2ngr) If you want a big screen (65" +), with the latest visual technology (MicroRGB, RGB Mini-LED, OLED, etc.), thin, light, power efficient... just show me one that meets those requirements that isn't "smart".
2026-07-28T01:50:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#tp2mfatd42lo) @prologic it is impossible. All TVs are “smart” these days.
2026-07-27T15:15:32Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#l74edun2mbgg) @prologic you don’t follow them? I see it.
2026-07-27T15:06:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#l74edun2mbgg) @< https://tilde.club/~lafe/twtxt.txt> the important thing is, are you seeing the replies? 😜
2026-07-27T12:45:50Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#tp2mfatd42lo) @thecanine it sucks. We used to only buy Sony TVs, but the last two we had died only 3 years after purchase, so we decided to give LG a try. Beautiful display, but their software is horrible. I am not letting it connect to the Internet all the time, only occasionally for updates, them disconnecting it again. It is a display for a streaming device, so it works out, otherwise... ugh!
2026-07-27T00:20:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#p6h4og2djyob) @prologic not Lyse, but we haven’t heard a zip from the mouse in a long while…
2026-07-26T22:58:49Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#notwpw3qr6nn) Cool, it is! It would not hold as a handle, but sure is neat, and imaginative, and kind of an odd choice for a channel that’s about bees (I didn’t translate, but based on their videos it is, right?).
2026-07-26T17:55:11Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5gibiuu52qvt) @lyse chomp, chomp, yum, yum!
2026-07-26T15:20:36Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#rdgx4jyzkcpn) And here I am, fruitless. 😩
2026-07-26T14:36:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#rkqr7p5dltju) @prologic done! See: https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd/issues/6
2026-07-26T14:08:25Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4ncs4fgilwry) And yes, the toggle shows now.
2026-07-26T14:07:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4ncs4fgilwry) Two things. Did you sent two twtxts? I see two on this thread. Second, the recovery code did not work. I reset everything, used the recovery code, and for followers/following, but no account was restored. So, something broke. The only way I got to get back was to get the `token` from `twtd`, and use it, as if I was setting up a new account on self hosted `twtd`.
2026-07-26T13:27:23Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4ncs4fgilwry) I am not seeing the “Publish who I follow”. Updated the app, and `twtd`. Added `--allow-follows` as an `twtd` argument. What am I missing?
2026-07-26T01:29:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6dbtnshjdkic) @prologic < woot!>
2026-07-26T00:50:28Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#zyudkzx33yo2) @movq 😂😂😂😂😂😂
2026-07-26T00:01:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6dbtnshjdkic) @prologic both.
2026-07-25T23:53:27Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#mqkuitinzjci) @prologic no, he wants the follows on the twtxt.txt, just like Yarnd does.
2026-07-25T23:50:12Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6dbtnshjdkic) <this will not show in the app> There is text before this. Look at the source, Luke. 😂
2026-07-25T23:48:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6dbtnshjdkic) Then look at the twtxt on the app.
2026-07-25T23:48:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6dbtnshjdkic) @prologic look at this: https://daiwei.me/twtxt.txt#:~:text=2026%2D07%2D25T20:40:13Z
2026-07-25T20:42:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @prologic see `txwyosh4mmzk`. Anything in the form `<this and this>` gets stripped.
2026-07-25T20:40:13Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#txwyosh4mmzk) @GabesArcade how does Jellyfin replaces the streaming services? You still need to buy the movies and rip them, right? Same for series, etc. So, new movies and series, and <your streaming services here> specials are out of reach. And the “collection” is finite, how often do you see the same movie? Once every 4-5 blue moons, right? I don’t get it.
2026-07-25T11:59:19Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#gqcqe6hnorgm) @lyse that’s how I felt yesterday, **absolutely done**. You know the plans I had, right? Enter wife, and her deliciously enticing pineapple with cashews fried rice. After losing a battle with her, I was “forced” to eat a huge plate of it, and there went my desire to do anything else.
2026-07-25T11:53:46Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#de37mijwtw52) @prologic 52% assembly is a small “nucleus”? 😜 I find it interesting! So, a hobby OS, just like Linux was for Linus?
2026-07-25T01:42:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#urwogphaasak) @eldersnake a few got cleaned up, and Feeds was [rebuilt](https://feeds.twtxt.net). I am sure the Slashdot feed can be re-added.
2026-07-24T22:54:40Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#rn4n5o7imcpq) @GabesArcade beep boop beep boop. We been discovered (with metallic voice). Run, run, run.
2026-07-24T19:31:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6i77lccc5iol) @lyse 🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭🤭
2026-07-24T15:32:45Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Done with the doctor’s visit. The true dilemma now is, do I work the second half of the day, or call it quits for the working week? Meh, whom am I kidding? 🤭 Weekend starts now! Maybe I will mow the backyard, so I don’t have that worry in the back of my head on the weekend.
2026-07-24T11:10:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#mmwhikimm4i5) @prologic yo, yo, yo! “Offline” posting worked!
2026-07-23T21:58:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#me3grrmdph4f) @lyse there is a reason for the saying “Busy bees”. Look at them! Very nice pics, mate, and environment. I, too, like to get physical to release tension. It does feel much better afterwards!
2026-07-23T18:31:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#xvhatyqxvabx) This is how it looks. Most of us got that message a week or so after the month started.
2026-07-23T18:12:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#xvhatyqxvabx) They did the same at my workplace. First they said those using AI will be at an advantage. "If you don't want to be left behind, use AI!" Then people said, "Really?! Are you going to provide AI to us then? You can't say we are going to be left behind, and not provide us with the tool you speak of, right?!" Then they started offering it. Then people didn't use it much, so they started taking away because of low usage. Then people re-applied again, and now we are using our monthly cap in less than a week. LOL! Talk about the mess they have created, eh?
2026-07-23T00:03:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#w3e6ahbwg5k3) @lyse no TV?! Next you will tell us that you are a bunch of time travelling luddites. Are you? Ahhhaaa! I caught you! Where did you hide your time machine, tell me? In a barn? Yes? 😂
2026-07-22T21:13:38Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#2dzntyc4snz4) @aelaraji 🤭 you are best finding these combos, mate!
2026-07-22T13:14:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4de5plyvmuee) @movq ah, yes, most likely. I see it now! Thank you mate. I still use `jenny` on the “Bashing Prologic” twtxt network (especially engineered not to be discovered, so that the bashing continues uninterrupted). 😂
2026-07-21T22:08:58Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4de5plyvmuee) Hmm, so I am missing the actual `CHANGES` file—which one gets when the repository is cloned, but I used to check it directly on your web base git for fast and quick updates. Now that one is fully gone.
2026-07-21T15:18:48Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4wp5q4wqbp63) @movq not an answer, but related to the repository used as example. Where is the CHANGES file?
2026-07-21T15:16:00Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#2wqpgitvxef3) @prologic nope, but I will remember that one too! 😅
2026-07-21T12:54:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#v732qmy5bod3) @aelaraji “Artificial Ignorance”, LOL. First time I come across that term, will remember it! 😂
2026-07-21T01:13:34Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#j2gjsmsfkjuc) @thecanine it is amazing how incredibly detailed the doggo is, considering it is just a few pixels. You have done it, once again, love it!
2026-07-20T22:11:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#z5fvkdehokju) @lyse if you order, please order enough for the two of us! 😂
2026-07-20T14:24:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Joint pains and fever this morning anchored me home. Taking Theraflu has making it bearable, but I wonder what it could be. Beginning of flu? COVID? Hmm...
2026-07-20T13:59:15Z (

(#rp5nncghmxr6) Yes, @prologic, we are waiting to hear about the idea this gave you. Tell us, tell us! 🍿🥤

(#dwtlihklymfo) @GabesArcade so you’ve got all your socialising done at once? I’ve heard great things about [The Odyssey](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Odyssey_(2026_film)). It might sound silly but I’m waiting until it’s on streaming services to watch it.

(#3oo425pq7gg2) Only 2,000 lines of code? Pfff, beginners… 😂 If you’ve told me, it was tons and tons of fun, it would have been much more impressed. 🤪

(#a4kytnqr4u2z) @david OMG, make it stop! If it weren’t because I have invested so much time watching this, I would have quit watching already. 😡

At 73 minutes, and still 0-0. The Argentineans are kind of playing fairly dirty. Definitely Spaniards are controlling the ball, and playing offensive much more.

(#f6ftx3v43x5q) Wow, six pets?! So, two dogs, four cats, right? Or? Princess Astrid is as cute as she can be!

(#gqid7kc7irnc) @movq that will also makes it easier for that bear, or wolf, to pounce without being heard. After all, we all deserve a chance in life, right? 😂

(#cvzigd6ccoka) @aelaraji OMG, indeed! Wife and mum were rooting for the French. I enjoy the game, so no preferences, but a good friend is British, so I am happy for him! LOL.

(#rnwryhssjkpo) @prologic good morning/afternoon (for me)! About to start watching football. Woot!
2026-07-18T20:53:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#o7becefocok2) That could be right, but I don’t know how many users are there using the app. I know I got mine set aside, and saved.

(#cvzigd6ccoka) @GabesArcade wow, 23 to 4, that wasn’t a game, it was a beating! 😅

(#yy755mb2ob7m) @lyse woot woot! Congratulations! ⛈️ I just came back from taking mum and dad to the Lake Buena Vista area. Lake Buena Vista is where all the parks (Disney, SeaWorld, MGM, etc.) congregate, and where one of their friends along with 17 family members (!!!) is visiting. Anyway, I mentioned that because it is hot and steamy as hell, and it isn’t even noon. Yeah, your thunderstorm is headed “this way”. 🤭
2026-07-18T11:22:52Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#old6yrp2ddkf) @movq haha! Likewise happens to us, pretty often, with one of ours fans in the family room. The kid makes his protein shakes at night after exercising, and more often than not triggers the outlet breaker in the kitchen, that control, amongst other things, the one sourcing power for that specific fan. Wife never gets it, and wonders what’s going on. It is up to me to “fix” it. 😅
2026-07-18T11:14:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#52tnzgxqzp4z) @lyse I feel I’m there. I can almost feel the temperature dropping, getting into the freshness of the night, and things quieting down (at least, humans), preparing for the night. Awesome pic, mate! As always, thanks for sharing!
2026-07-18T02:31:25Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#f7i3j76ggb7e) @prologic the "Show Recovery Code" should be "Generate Recovery Code". It is not a code that is there, it is one that's created each single time you hit the button.
2026-07-18T01:45:43Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#bpr2lor6qfix) This implementation works like a charm. Tested on `twtpub.com` and self-hosted `twtd` (single user). All good. Thanks!
2026-07-18T00:12:29Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#emjrxvngt2mp) @prologic read it. As commented elsewhere, one thing is sure: the feature is currently missing. As for the open questions, I offer this feedback: 1. Automatic. 2. Single active code. 3. I don’t care. If I am at a point in which I need to use my code, I am at a clean slate.

(#nutwrjs35ts7) Yup, they are running `twtd`. @balloon-fu-sen, you need to upgrade your `twtd`, and keep an eye on its [repository](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd) for future updates.
2026-07-17T22:48:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#nutwrjs35ts7) Are you running your own `twtd`? If so, you need to upgrade. That’s the only thing I can think of.

I have only one s3 bucket that hasn't been touched since 2023 and is not public, and I am not even using ecr at all, I have no registry on any region that I am aware of. I tried opening a support ticket but nothing so far.” This r/WAS [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/aws/comments/1uyuaw7/help_my_bill_skyrocketed_from_around_5_cents_per/) is amusing and terribly scary. (#vpmxlpzhohyz) @lyse very slim odds, and very interesting episode! Out of everyone on Earth alive today there will not be enough to have a full fossilised skeleton. Wow! I don’t do this often, mind it, but I have subscribed.

(#hmkrprcpj5me) @prologic [done](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtxt.dev/pulls/38). I am not sure if anything else needs to be revised, so I will spend some time this weekend going over the whole documentation site.

(#dhvexiqta55l) Off topic, how are you liking the preview feature? I am finding myself making less mistakes (or, at least, not posting them) with it.
2026-07-17T17:12:53Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
[Twtxt Docs](https://twtxt.dev/#:~:text=For%20example) need an update at the linked point, as the example is for `v1` (legacy) of the hash extension. If no one does it, I will.
2026-07-17T16:07:51Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#o3qfnfvve4gi) @GabesArcade because of how @prologic has configured, and secured his resources, this is going to be a hard one to crack, I am afraid.
2026-07-17T15:50:45Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ewwfakqcde7r) @GabesArcade getting the headlines with links, without further adverts, noise, and site loading (and Reddit is a heavy one!) is a bliss, isn't it?
2026-07-17T15:31:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#emjrxvngt2mp) @somebody I have sent a couple of PRs to @prologic (one for `twtxt.app` and one for `twtd`) to implement a `following.json` (similar to `followers.json`) at the `twtd` endpoint.
2026-07-17T15:12:47Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
A first using `twtxt.app` preview feature. I am typing this, *then* I will preview it (and correct any mistakes by going back to write), then preview again, and hit `Twt`. I will mention @prologic too, for giggles.
2026-07-17T13:11:50Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#emjrxvngt2mp) @prologic I am dense today. So, if one wipes the app, and reinstalls from scratch, one must follow everyone back from followers? How about those one was following, that are not followers? Just write down their feeds to manually re-enter, should the "danger zone" is entered?
2026-07-17T13:06:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#63uuj72kikse) Can you expand on this reply? I know it is not currently stored on `twtd`. You meant it can't be done, or something else?
2026-07-17T11:43:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#3coaiaakwpvj) @bender I am a witness to that. You are alive, and bending!

(#w7kbe4spp7pe) @thoshi cute cat! And welcome to twtxt! I take it you are using `Yarnd`?

(#ybyonlpmdwwj) Newsboat colours are nice, but those colours work well because the way the interface is designed (on that view, thin rows with the highlights, etc.). For `tt` that approach become too busy due to the design itself, so *I* would take a different route: 1. Selected: background gray (or pick your soft colour here), fonts white. 2. Non-selected unread: background black, fonts cyan. 3. Non-selected read: background black, fonts gray (or dimmed, or pick your soft colour here). Something like that. ☺️
2026-07-16T22:42:02Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#77xczdsxdiyp) @prologic it is a good “blame". I mean, I told wife that I am spending quite a bit of online time with the Aussie, and she even said “good!”. So, you are the one to *thank*, not the one to *blame*! 🤭
2026-07-16T21:43:12Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Haven’t turned on the PlayStation, not even once, this Diablo IV season. I am not sure if it is because I have been dedicating more time to `twtxt` brainstorming with @prologic, or because season IV came with too many changes, or because I have grown tired of the game by now—this last happens every once and then. Whatever the reason might be, wife is happy I am not “wasting time on that stupid game of yours”, as she once called it. 😅
2026-07-16T20:55:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#22nblg2fcmxu) @lyse I meant it in general. I wish I had the skills to mock up something, so it is easier to visualise. Red on a black, or dark background, would be harsh for my eyes. Yellow it kind of is, but I don’t use `tt`, so don’t have to stare at it too long, if at all. How easy is it `tt` to theme? Perhaps working on a way to easily try, and change colours (without having to recompile) would be a good idea!
2026-07-16T20:08:04Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#2jvfylxsg52y) @movq ja, vor allem, weil das ältere Forumsformat sie verwenden. Heutzutage neigen die einzigen Foren dazu, mehr teilzunehmen, diejenigen, die "Discourse" laufen.
2026-07-16T12:10:00Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ijsilztuzkxn) OK, I figure nothing broke here. That's a relief. For a brief moment I thought a change would breaks things. Glad it did not. This concludes my test (this is a separate paragraph).
2026-07-16T12:06:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Let's see how this works now, that a fix has been implemented. If I type \u2028, that is `\u2028`, no escape, or anything else. How will it show? I will find out!
2026-07-16T11:40:01Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ac6dgikmdqn6) @prologic no, there was no bug that I can see, so not sure what you hallucinated 😅. They edited the twtxt and removed the `\u2028`.
2026-07-16T11:34:23Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#fi3mqu4paiud) Codeberg is showing me a 403 as well. I just joined to them to test this out.
2026-07-16T11:13:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#fi3mqu4paiud) @dce slightly off-topic, your new lines are not working. They are showing as `\u2028`.
2026-07-16T09:59:00Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#n35uvijhae6l) @prologic it is, yes. I am very curious, though, on what are you thinking that it can be done. 🤔
2026-07-16T03:01:27Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#n35uvijhae6l) @prologic they wrote: > I created a repo called twtxt and an application key with read/write access to it (and only it). I then cloned the repo on Hashnix and hardlinked my twtxt into it, before committing and pushing. Next, I supplied the appropriate details on twtxt.app [Codeberg details followed]
2026-07-16T02:26:26Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#n35uvijhae6l) @prologic well, I did write: > But… I might be wrong. 😅
2026-07-15T23:21:22Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#2egasrikvb3e) @dce yes, it contains it, but it doesn’t serve it. The twtxt.app requires you to serve it there.
2026-07-15T23:11:59Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#srwfrqvl26rv) @dce luckily twtxt.app “speaks” hash `v1` and `v2`, so can still interact. Pretty cool!
2026-07-15T23:09:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#sfer3n5hu2yd) I don’t think that will ever work. Your `twtxt.txt` must reside on Codeberg, and your feed URL must be Codeberg’s address (or the CNAME you might have in it, I think Codeberg allows Pages, just like GitHub). Forget about Hashnix. But… I might be wrong.
2026-07-15T22:36:19Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yepfpkw5p5tx) @prologic I think anyone can create an account on Codeberg, no? It is just a Forjego Github.
2026-07-15T22:08:14Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#emjrxvngt2mp) @prologic right, but I think @somebody was thinking that their following were saved server side like followers are. I mean, it is the right thing to assume, correct?
2026-07-15T21:23:14Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @dce what client as you using for twtxt? I just saw two completely disconnected twtxts from you, and am trying to figure out if the issue is at my end.
2026-07-15T19:51:58Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#z7o6zmcjjso7) @lyse you wrote Korn shell, and “Children of the Korn” (and “of the Corn”, both) came to mind. Poor `korn` shell, which `zsh` displaced, then `fish` came, and well, I lost track which is everyone’s favourite now. I stick to `bash`.
2026-07-15T19:48:53Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jkngx7li4bmx) @lyse nice! Our “regular” clouds have started to congregate, and I hear remote rumblings already. So, yeah, it is coming. When? Not sure, but it is coming.
2026-07-15T19:37:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#zzhijfm3jkxg) @lyse I would set unread messages with the brighter text, and read ones with a dimmed, grey colour, and not set a background, unless it is a focused message. On the focused message, text is always brighter. What do you think?
2026-07-15T18:42:24Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#emjrxvngt2mp) @somebody I think I know what that's happening. While using an incognito browser, closing it is the equivalent of the "Danger zone" "Erase this device", which: > "Delete everything the app stores on this device — follows, settings, backend connections, caches — and start over." And that includes the feeds you are following (not your followers; those sit safely on the multi-user instance of `twtd` you may be using). And now you know the rest of the story.
2026-07-15T16:45:54Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yyimwbpoazpg) @GabesArcade indeed, I love it! I have got a few suggestions for the "Mentions" screen, but it is, overall, a great quality of life improvement.
2026-07-15T16:41:32Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4shir6voylho) @lyse first time I see a screenshot of `tt` on compose mode, and it is so damn cool! ("few seconds" would have been the right way, no? I see you opted to remove the "s" on post.)
2026-07-15T16:37:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#55x3tvsbatqc) @lyse rainsmen! (read that as amen, but with rain instead, hahahahaha!)
2026-07-15T15:37:15Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6qnn7vcaioac) @movq ahh! For what is worth, it shows fine on twtxt.app.
2026-07-15T15:18:34Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#6qnn7vcaioac) @movq hmm, I see this fine on twtxt.app. Hypothetically it supports `v1` and `v2` threading.
2026-07-15T14:48:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
So, @prologic, about "Mentions" on the twtxt.app. I think you should move the "mentioned you", and "replied to you" to the lower right corner of the card, just like it shows on "Timeline", with the same size and colours. It doesn't need to be a button if you don't want, but a link just like the "⤴ origin" one. If a button is easier, or more consistent, then sure, make it so.
2026-07-15T14:34:55Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#sh7w2snf6trw) @movq for as much as I dislike Oracle, your brain dump makes a decent case for Java. I say, got for it! `jenny` on Java? Oh, and no, I didn't read anything you wrote. I promise! 😅
2026-07-15T13:50:12Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#3kckehj573n5) Hmmm... Yeah. I find myself silently muttering that a few times a day. More often than I would like to, actually.
2026-07-15T12:28:57Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#megfcguk4az7) @itsericwoodward you sure are a better golf player than I am! 🤭 All good mate. Yes, similar other games have the same approach; they provide very busy shareable results. I may be in the minority, but truly find no use for the information rendered, especially if it is relatively the same over and over (wins or loses, or "almost there"). *I* say, *I* would only share *if* and *when* I get 12/12, for example. That's worth sharing, writing a blurb about it, and challenging peers playing the same game to beat it! Other than that... keep trying in silence David! 😅
2026-07-15T11:20:53Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ch33r7x342zt) @zvava is back! Welcome back!
2026-07-15T00:39:05Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#nrtke2flh6a6) @balloon-fu-sen same here. I could also turn my `twtd` instance into a multiuser one, but I am sure that will change the feed URL, and *that* would be disastrous. I would not forgive myself. 😅
2026-07-15T00:08:13Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5twpywqhmef3) Yes, my client breaks it. Got to write an issue on it. Cool setup, by the way!
2026-07-15T00:07:17Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5twpywqhmef3) @dce hmm, somehow your media link is changing on my client. Let me see if it is the client, or something else. Hot linking below:
2026-07-14T23:36:22Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ufv5hipfgbrh) @somebody it is. Welcome to the small, text based, friendly network (not social, but friendly).
2026-07-14T23:07:45Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yel3tacd62kf) @prologic alrighty then, [done](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtxt.app/issues/10)!
2026-07-14T22:04:19Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yel3tacd62kf) I would even remove the linking of images all together. If someone wants to see a bigger version, a right-click, and open on a new tab/window should suffice.
2026-07-14T21:56:11Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jcjpbvzs3hbv) @prologic oh, no worries, something else is blocking me. And it goes like this: > too many requests from your network today — try again tomorrow Yay! 🎉😅
2026-07-14T21:29:45Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7rpd4ha) @movq I lost my interest on that medium, I am not fully sure why. Rebuilt my VPS and didn’t bother to migrate, nor set a new one up. Sorry to have come to this tombstone and resurrect the dead, I am testing the app, and coming across twtxts I missed.
2026-07-14T21:24:25Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yel3tacd62kf) Looking at pics on the new twtxt.app needs some work. Clicking on the pic now opens it on a new tab, I think we can do better, right @prologic?
2026-07-14T21:22:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yel3tacd62kf) @lyse LOL. It is “gentle” now. Don’t let the pic fool you, it is raining hard, just not as hard as usual. It also comes and goes, with gusts of wind and rain.
2026-07-14T20:57:01Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
There comes the rain, just like it did yesterday, like clockwork. Oh lord, my conundrum: I love, utterly love, rain! But there are others things I “love” much, much less...
2026-07-14T20:48:58Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#xsb5aa7lyht3) @lyse such a neat device! Oy, if I were to spend on every single gadget I find interesting, I would be poor, and single. LOL.
2026-07-14T19:56:15Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7k7zousv5sdm) @lyse of course not! It would have never crossed my mind it was. Now, if @bender would have been the OP, oh boy, I wouldn’t be so sure! 🤣
2026-07-14T19:47:00Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#xc5s6v7ojg7i) @lyse exactly. Would love to be able to compare, @prologic! ☺️
2026-07-14T19:20:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#wapukqcmqn65) @prologic [this today](https://meduza.io/en/news/2026/07/14/u-s-treasury-sanctions-on-a-vpn-service-knocked-out-telegram-s-short-link-domain-worldwide): > The t.me domain was most likely swept up in the restrictions by mistake, writes the tech outlet CyberSec Guru. The domain itself is not under OFAC sanctions, and blocking the one channel — t.me/FirstVPNService — would have been impossible without Telegram’s cooperation. The registry operator apparently never approached the company and instead complied with a formal request to block the entire domain.
2026-07-14T19:00:15Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7oyaonp2dumy) > I don’t trust this and I don’t want to **go** anywhere near it. Way to go, *go*! (pun intended) 😂
2026-07-14T18:59:05Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#qha36r6va54q) @lyse there is a new app in town, that makes creating noise, err, twtxting very easy, and fun. It has happened in the past. I am sure it will soon subside to acceptable levels. 😅
2026-07-14T14:47:46Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#fdbadou7x5vb) See what I did there? Yup, I proved my own point!

(#lkzifeqoll4g) @lyse it is amazing you got to type all that on `tt`, and go it right from get go. I would have made so many mistakes, that just the thought it will make me make mistakes on this reply. 😅 Congratulations on implementing quality of life key bindings!
2026-07-14T13:25:56Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5qpwyu7boeri) @david again, these are the two lines in question: ``` 2026-07-14T01:09:00Z @prologic where’s the place to submit feature requests for twtxt.app? 2026-07-14T01:10:02Z (#pmrf6ftxsdhr) Sorry I meant to say, “where’s the best place” lol ``` We might never get to the bottom of it, but it wouldn't be for lack of trying!
2026-07-14T13:21:07Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ym6j2pfcopqr) Aha! OK, looks good! Finally, a link inside a code block, like so: ``` @prologic Or https://daiwei.me/ ``` Done.
2026-07-14T13:19:47Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Let's test code blocks to see if curly quotes (single and double, or double dashes) are "smarty panted" inside: ``` It's late. That should be straight. Let's try "doubles", which should be straight too. And these should simply show two dashes --, or three ---. ```
2026-07-14T13:16:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5qpwyu7boeri) @GabesArcade thank you! And you didn't manually edited anything, correct? @prologic, ping!
2026-07-14T12:48:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#cygi2ndm5jt3) Oh boy, I hope we are not awaking a sleeping dragon now... 🤣😅
2026-07-14T12:36:03Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#vowj5a2chzoj) @prologic I understood what you said, no biggies.
2026-07-14T12:33:12Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#cygi2ndm5jt3) @prologic yeah, please no. Unless a different approach is taken, which @lyse mentioned earlier on another twtxt, to content addressing, edits/deletions should only be used as a sign of protest, or rebellion. 😅
2026-07-14T12:28:14Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#vowj5a2chzoj) @prologic I am leaning to believe it is not an issue with the clients, but more so a very human factor involved.
2026-07-14T11:54:52Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @GabesArcade we are trying to solve a mystery, and, perhaps, fix and issue. Before replying to this twtxt, could you please go to your raw feed, https://gabesarcade.com/twtxt.txt, take a look at the last two twtxts, and tell us how did you ended up with the one starting with `#pmrf6ftxsdhr`?
2026-07-14T11:38:09Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#egsqiwxhd6mr) @movq oh my! I wonder what @prologic thinks of that (and yes, I am sure it can be turn off, but it should be off by default, and otherwise optional.
2026-07-14T11:36:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#vowj5a2chzoj) @movq hahahaha! There has to be a way, right? Either way, you will agree I pinged the right people, yes? 😅
2026-07-14T11:11:29Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#vowj5a2chzoj) Ha! It is impossible to write it. It will be converted no matter what. Will open an issue later today.
2026-07-14T11:10:38Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#vowj5a2chzoj) While in this, @prologic, there seems to be a parsing issue here. I don't think any further processing must be happening inside a code block---I might be wrong---do you think? On the code block above, this `@prologic` got converted to something strange.
2026-07-14T11:08:21Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @prologic, @lyse, and/or @movq, do any of you know what happened here? ``` 2026-07-14T01:09:00Z @prologic where’s the place to submit feature requests for twtxt.app? 2026-07-14T01:10:02Z (#pmrf6ftxsdhr) Sorry I meant to say, “where’s the best place” lol ```
2026-07-14T11:06:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5kmtbdutppjb) Welcome back, stranger, glad to see you around! How goes @eldersnake, what interesting technologies are keeping you busy these days?
2026-07-14T11:04:37Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#megfcguk4az7) Please, could we not abuse this, pretty please? One of the most abhorring things on the Fediverse is the incredible large amount of Wordle results spam. So much I used to have (I am not on that medium any more) a filter for those. Clearly, I am not complaining about the two above, just trying to prevent a landslide 🙏.
2026-07-14T01:23:32Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5fbzcrafqo5a) Bam! You kept that fairly quiet, eh? Of course I will test! 😂
2026-07-14T01:12:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ksou5aqw7w5a) @GabesArcade there is a git repository, but @prologic will have to chime in, because I am not sure access is fully open. Hang tight! ☺️
2026-07-14T00:35:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#mysg4azfbb7t) @prologic I have noticed that the font size is quite small (at least on my 2560x1440 desktop display. Not sure if increasing it a tad could be considered an enhancement. If increased, it would make sense to make the cards a tad wider too. The font is also small on mobile, but is it more bearable as one holds the device closer to the eyes.
2026-07-14T00:26:08Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#mysg4azfbb7t) First bullet is quality of life. I would sign off for that, for sure. On second bullet, where will the click/tap take us? About the tidying it up, sure, maybe ellipse the very long ones at certain length?
2026-07-13T21:57:02Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#iexwam7ciick) @prologic kids these days… they just can sit idle without doing anything. Instead they try their luck around the Tubes. Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay!
2026-07-13T21:40:48Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#wapukqcmqn65) @prologic meh. I don’t think it will last, if really true. But we’ll see.
2026-07-13T21:38:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#uhpcu4doihrp) @kat you did it right! (I expected now less, of course) 🎉🎉🎉
2026-07-13T21:36:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#st3bbhhcgvzk) @prologic 100%. It is handy, and fast, and it minimises the friction to send a twtxt. I love it.
2026-07-13T21:35:38Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#iexwam7ciick) Hahahaha! Wow, I would love you hear some more background from that person. 😅
2026-07-13T21:15:10Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#2vqjlfjoj5hn) @prologic what are you referring to? Some advertisements?
2026-07-13T21:13:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#z3drtaj2wkx3) If we can help, let us know! ❤️
2026-07-13T15:05:58Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#4hgcqmyb5owv) @yarn_police that was my first thought as soon as I saw that beautiful graph (the most beautiful graph ever seeing, some say; yes, they said to me "Sir, that's the most beautiful graph even seeing!"). Anyway. 😅
2026-07-13T14:47:27Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#3mff6i6aadyr) @movq so sorry! At least we have central air conditioning over here (it is a must, not a luxury). We keep it at 25°C during the day, and between 20°C to 23°C at night. Does your apartment windows have a fine mesh on them? That could make it more bearable as you could open them without fearing a mosquito attack.
2026-07-13T14:28:32Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Was looking to grow my list of interesting people here using the [active users](https://search.twtxt.net/stats/users) on [Twtxt Search](https://search.twtxt.net/). My approach: check the feed; if a hash is found, and activity is fair, follow. Else, pass. That brought a grand total of two new feeds to my following list! 🎉
2026-07-13T12:59:11Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#s73n2tkuy2lg) @prologic alright. I am calling off the @yarn_police. Officer, you are no longer needed... right now. Thank you for your service! 🫡
2026-07-13T12:13:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
I wonder is the @yarn_police is on strike. Recent "violations" going unaccounted for around here are making me believe our local law enforcement has been furlough. 😅
2026-07-13T11:51:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
> "In the “City of God,” St. Augustine tells the story of a pirate captured by Alexander the Great. The Emperor angrily demanded of him, “How dare you molest the seas?” To which the pirate replied, “How dare you molest the whole world? Because I do it with a small boat, I am called a pirate and a thief. You, with a great navy, molest the world and are called an emperor.” What an excellent reply that of the pirate, right? I must read "[City of God](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_City_of_God)".
2026-07-13T11:14:16Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7arhky7n6ard) These three originally showed totally disconnected on Yarnd: - https://twtxt.net/twt/jjcrfeemwhfz -https://twtxt.net/twt/2tm7lguto33z -https://twtxt.net/twt/daovifs66a3j
2026-07-13T11:07:49Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jjcrfeemwhfz) @movq yup, @prologic edited the twtxt right after I replied to it. 😭
2026-07-13T10:32:01Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#kyjhiwcxeknm) @david this referred, of course, to the many changes on the twtxt.app that @prologic twtxted about, but then edited and broke my very fast reply. LOL.
2026-07-13T10:20:26Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#nvald2o6b4v6) That's good news, it brings back memories! What are the prerequisites for an approval, or rejection? Is there something specific, or it simply means, "it will be 'automated' by a human" instead of just been an open gate?
2026-07-13T01:20:20Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#s74a6q7epokk) @prologic already running the latest! Sweet!
2026-07-13T01:12:14Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#kyjhiwcxeknm) Woot! That’s quite a few changes. It’s like the app is a new one. You know, like Theseus Ship?
2026-07-13T01:02:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#aks6m63ooapu) @GabesArcade the world doesn’t have enough Princesses Peaches! 🙈
2026-07-13T00:57:04Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
For those of you awakening and seeing this on the twtxt.app, you will see if looks quite different (the app) as it looked a few hours ago. Yep, @prologic has been busy! 🚀
2026-07-13T00:18:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#gvv3l6xvwjnu) @prologic 😅 She is already thinking in the next World Cup.
2026-07-13T00:01:56Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jjpkiekewzil) @lyse LOL. I know, I know. I should refrain from poking that wasp nest.
2026-07-12T23:58:22Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#z4rca63jjp73) @lyse I wish I could send it to you. We are having it each and every day. You know what happens to the lawn when rain falls, and scorching sun follows the next day, right? 😅
2026-07-12T18:20:09Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#aks6m63ooapu) Princess Peaches is a cutie! I bet the cats are jealous.
2026-07-12T17:20:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#36jdjycws2m3) All good then, that’s how I follow you. 🎉
2026-07-12T16:19:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#36jdjycws2m3) Just noticed that you show twice on the [search](https://search.twtxt.net/stats/users),@movq. One with `www`, and one without. I am following with the `www`. Should I not?
2026-07-12T16:00:44Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#z4rca63jjp73) Hmm, it worked just fine for me. Not going to abuse it though, as those take the very few, little GiBs, I have. 😅
2026-07-12T15:59:16Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Testing image uploading via the mobile PWA, as @prologic told me it wasn’t working. Let’s see if it is true.
2026-07-12T15:49:28Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
While playing with [Twtxt Search](https://search.twtxt.net) I couldn’t help but remembering the many people that has come and go to twtxt. I mean, it is truly hard to keep *one* file around an accessible online corner, right? I have done the same, so don’t go calling my hypocrite now! 😅 At least, after many iterations, I am still here. That ought to count for something, right?
2026-07-12T15:20:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#kujx6ggxazad) Yeah, the worse we ever did was to implement editing and deletions. I now realise twtxt should follow a “written in stone” approach. Having been a strong proponent at a time for edits/deletion, I wholeheartedly regret it.
2026-07-12T14:41:35Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#zx234af7tc3b) Interesting! I figure that’s why so many people prefer spaces to tabs when coding. A space comes across as more “predictable” than a TAB.
2026-07-12T14:28:49Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Where in the world is the famous mouse @xuu? There is cheese around here, @xuu, come on by! ☺️
2026-07-12T13:10:13Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Mum is already mourning the end of the World Cup. “Once it’s over”, she said, “I will have no other option but to go to church.” 😂🤭
2026-07-12T12:44:35Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Work maintenance completed. A quick shower, and off to mum’s for morning coffee!
2026-07-12T12:07:22Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#yvkoltrzd26n) 😅🤣 Let me know how it goes, and if meets your very stringent requirements, and I will go ahead and get it too. Heck, I will buy three: one to use, one for backup, and one to sell on eBay after a considerable time has passed.
2026-07-12T11:42:25Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#wpxdtgamabjy) @balloon-fu-sen so, use this one to follow, unfollow the other one?
2026-07-12T11:39:50Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#kujx6ggxazad) Ah, the “joys” of having young children! Wishing a quick recovery mate! Fluids, rest, and rock-and-roll!
2026-07-12T11:10:39Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#kujx6ggxazad) A few threads were broken because of editing. Other than that, are you seeing major issues? I hate broken threads, trust me, so if there is an issue still causing them I want it fixed!
2026-07-12T04:01:46Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#aktb7qluroat) It should be a tab (I saw `\t` on twtd source, but sure find odd the space difference. The code, on twtd goes like: ``` line := created.Format(time.RFC3339) + "\t" + strings.ReplaceAll(text, "\n", " ") + "\n" ``` Hopefully @prologic chimes in.
2026-07-12T02:43:26Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
So, England beat Norway, and now Argentina and Switzerland and a tie. This World Cup is truly something! We don’t want it to end! ⚽️
2026-07-12T02:16:56Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#npjh6li3egdu) Awesome! Congratulations! 🥳 Long due, but oh so worth the wait! Now, go on and update, fellows!
2026-07-12T01:55:10Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ywncgkbjtaok) Editing isn’t good. I would recommend you forget editing exist, as it breaks threads and twtxts ended up not making sense. Consider everything typed written in stone. Send a follow up twtxt amending if at all needed.
2026-07-12T01:47:50Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#o4gmqrklw42c) The search engine @prologic refers about is at https://search.twtxt.net/.
2026-07-12T01:17:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#h6og3tbw5qfy) Hey, thank you! First time I see that list, will peruse it in a bit for active, engaging twtxters!
2026-07-12T01:00:14Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#k324qar7qw4e) @balloonfu-sen it is perfect. Truly responsive and fast.
2026-07-12T00:24:29Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#nmdjwpo3sy5a) I am using both, twtxt.app and twtd. Working like a charm!
2026-07-11T23:26:21Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @prologic nice, now tagging works on mobile.
2026-07-11T23:21:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#ykyz7prw5e4u) Pretty cool, @prologic, I am glad we helped! 🎉😂
2026-07-11T22:15:50Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#3kfktewnmpqj) Forking @bender: > @david now I am forking: > > I see @bender twtxt just above this one. Good, so far.
2026-07-11T22:08:28Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#klyv7jpef66x) I see @bender twtxt just above this one. Good, so far.
2026-07-11T21:55:21Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#klyv7jpef66x) Now let’s wait, and stop posting from here, and after this one shows at Yarnd, I will introduce the "@bender variable".
2026-07-11T21:54:24Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) So, far, all conversations and all forks show fine in Yarnd.
2026-07-11T21:48:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) This is another reply, same `root=jlte7el5tcyi`, which makes it the sixth twtxt in the conversation (flat, not counting forks).
2026-07-11T21:46:04Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#3yv64extapz3) root=3yv64extapz3 and another fork: > root=tc4dhbjfjxnm for on: > > root=x3kirrlwb4vb fork on: > > > And this is the fifth. I will start forking now.
2026-07-11T21:44:59Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#tc4dhbjfjxnm) root=tc4dhbjfjxnm for on: > root=x3kirrlwb4vb fork on: > > And this is the fifth. I will start forking now.
2026-07-11T21:44:15Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#x3kirrlwb4vb) root=x3kirrlwb4vb fork on: > And this is the fifth. I will start forking now.
2026-07-11T21:43:34Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#idtig63uigwe) root=idtig63uigwe and another, quoting the previous twtxt: > root=idtig63uigwe this isn’t a fork, just a reply on the previous fork.
2026-07-11T21:42:59Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#idtig63uigwe) root=idtig63uigwe this isn’t a fork, just a reply on the previous fork.
2026-07-11T21:42:11Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#7cnr5hulfahb) root=7cnr5hulfahb fork. I am now forking: > Lyse swears the issue at with the app. So, I will continue testing on this conversation. I am not going to fork yet, these are just twtxts on the conversation.
2026-07-11T21:41:41Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#idtig63uigwe) root=idtig63uigwe fork. I am forking: > And I am saying that, because everything looks fine on twtxt.app, but not in Yarnd. But I am confused because jenny is also showing things not the way it should be.
2026-07-11T21:40:53Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) And this is the fifth. I will start forking now.
2026-07-11T21:40:30Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) So far there are three replies on the conversant, this is the fourth.
2026-07-11T21:40:06Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) Lyse swears the issue at with the app. So, I will continue testing on this conversation. I am not going to fork yet, these are just twtxts on the conversation.
2026-07-11T21:02:48Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#jlte7el5tcyi) And I am saying that, because everything looks fine on twtxt.app, but not in Yarnd. But I am confused because jenny is also showing things not the way it should be.
2026-07-11T21:01:46Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
Now I don’t know if Yarnd is the one having issues, or if twtxt.app is at fault.
2026-07-11T17:28:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#fcyeeyd3ii2o) No yet. Let’s keep it rolling a little bit longer. I am reply to “[..] I don’t see any broken threads here. 🤔“. I can’t tag followings while on mobile.
2026-07-11T15:46:36Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#u2bwyyfbwsxb) This is a reply on the fork @bender’s referred. So, a reply on bender’s fork on `u2bwyyfbwsxb`. Stopping now, to allow twtxt.net to catch up.
2026-07-11T15:45:33Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#iqqsqst5vokf) OK, I see @bender’s reply to `iqqsqst5vokf`. I also see the fork. Will reply to the fork now after this.
2026-07-11T15:33:36Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#iqqsqst5vokf) I don’t want to involve the GitHub feed anymore. I want to eliminate variables here. So, this interaction is only between this feed, and the @bender’s feed.
2026-07-11T15:32:11Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
The issues might be that we are testing on production, and feed URL changing 😅. But I want to make sure, just in case. So, this one starts a test. Again.
2026-07-11T14:56:48Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#le5zsal5e3lw) I think you need to clean your cache. That might be what’s happening.
2026-07-11T14:29:18Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5bpwpdcjnhcz) Bulleted lists also need a bit more indent, me thinks.
2026-07-11T14:28:43Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#5bpwpdcjnhcz) Got to add a little bit more indent to numbered lists (above). Let’s see how bulleted lists show: - This is bullet one - This is bullet two - This is bullet three
2026-07-11T14:26:19Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#nsyqohqsvihj) I like it! Our work space is shared right now. I will, most likely, be cleaning it once we are back to the office 5 days a week (which is planned to start on 27th July 2026). My space will be exclusively mine then.
2026-07-11T14:20:31Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @prologic left a [few issues](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtxt.app/issues) for twtxt.app, and [some others](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd/issues) for `twtd`.
2026-07-11T14:17:42Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#uoypprbpvos2) @GabesArcade you may now change that long ugly feed URL to your own domain, by setting the feed URL to be `https://gabesarcade.com/twtxt.txt`. You will have to disconnect, and connect again, and perhaps do a “Reset cache”.
2026-07-11T13:27:33Z (
remote@daiwei.me )
(#eqzngvbstiql) 🥰 Su cute! Have a nice weekend, @lyse! I am back at testing the twtxt.app. I think—I think!—it is working fine so far, but a few minutes will tell.
2026-07-11T13:25:32Z (

(#ynnbdxs33ge3) The photos bring the pleasantness of the place. Lovely! Who takes a dog to a camp out? I like dogs, but one like that, constantly barking at seemingly nothing isn’t fun. 😩 When you write “pleasantly warm”, how many degrees are we talking about? Ugh, a tick! Dear lord! Make sure your shots are up to date, those little buggers may bring an unpleasant surprise!

(#o57n5odb5mb6) Welcome back! Man, this was a long week! 😅
2026-07-06T19:07:00Z (
remote@daiwei.me ) @GabesArcade there seems to be a bug on twtxt.app that is breaking threads. @prologic is out, so a fix will sure come end of week, beginning of next.

(#iphpfmcfsrhn) Hmm, or maybe it is jenny, but I wouldn’t know how to start researching that. Maybe you could help, @lyse?

(#6icxocaexwil) Oh wow! When I get to my office tomorrow I will check my drawers and twt a pic of things I think you may be interested about. Most of my vintage is Apple related, but might have some non-Apple oldies.

(#iphpfmcfsrhn) Yarnd seems broken. It’s the common denominator. The two twts above are totally disconnected from the twt they are supposed to be replying to.

(#6icxocaexwil) That’s very neat! How big is your vintage collection of operating systems now, @movq?

(#z5jrca4m52vt) To avoid this in the future, just added this to my `Caddyfile`: ``` @aibots { header User-Agent *GPTBot* header User-Agent *ChatGPT* header User-Agent *anthropic-ai* header User-Agent *ClaudeBot* header User-Agent *OAI-SearchBot* header User-Agent *Google-Extended* header User-Agent *FacebookBot* header User-Agent *CCBot* } abort @aibots ``` Reusable 100%.

(#r4uf52ggwseh) > Physical games at least gives the chance of future preservation in a world where digital is locked behind DRM- assuming the full game is on the disc. Oh boy, ain’t that right! Blizzard started doing that long ago. The “game disk” was simply a launcher to a megaton download. 😅

(#r4uf52ggwseh) How different is this from movies no longer on discs? Even if the games were to be available on disks, my PlayStations do not have disks trays anymore. It has been six years since Sony started to sell them without a disk tray. I see it this way: we own nothing. We borrow things for a finite time.

> openai.com > https://openai.com/gptbot · seen 3m It didn’t take long for the OpenAI bot to discover this brand new feed. Really, less than an hour.

(#plxpmtyd35yi) You click on “Follows”, then on “Followers”, and they will be listed there. Hmm, come to think of it, I don’t think you will see it. I see it because I am running [twtd](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd)! My bad.

Hiya @GabesArcade! I see you are following me from a feed on [GitHub](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gabrielcornish/gabesarcade/main/twtxt.txt). Is that the same as `https://gabesarcade.com/twtxt.txt`?

(#3lkbrl2imuqn) Hey @GabesArcade, @prologic is on a week’s vacation. Just letting you know. Hang tight! Who knows, maybe he has some sporadic connectivity where he is at, and chimes in. I wouldn’t be surprised, knowing him. 🤭

(#vrnrqpwcif7l) Using the [twtxt.app](https://twtxt.app/) with [twtd](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd) right now, @prologic. It works great! Need to be able to add a description, and perhaps one link? Nothing that makes it too complicated, for sure. Matter of fact, I could “live" with the way it is right now!

I had had so many feeds in the past! So many I lost count. But @prologic’s new [twtxt.app](https://twtxt.app/) makes it so easy to host my own little [twt server](https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/twtd), that I couldn’t help but setting one (feed and server) up. Hopefully this feed will last longer. Here it goes nothing!
