3x3x3 Top Down Solution, Top Layer Corners

REMEMBER:  Before starting any algorithm, make sure that the front (dark grey) face is facing you and the top layer is on the top.

The aim of this section is to take you from this to this completing the top layer

The Corners

For the purpose of this exercise I will use  the red white and blue corner.  Position the corner directly below the place you will put the corner as indicated below.

The white face on a corner on the bottom layer should be on a side face as seen below and perform either algorithm 1 or 2,

Algorithm 1   Algorithm 2
Front face dark grey.   Front face dark grey.

F' D' F
Front face
Anti-clock
Down face
Anti-clock

Down face

There are four other possible positions shown below.  Follow the appropriate algorithm to place the corner on the bottom layer and restoring any edge that may have been disturbed, then perform either algorithm 1 or 2 above to put it in the correct place.

Algorithm 3   Algorithm 4   Algorithm 5   Algorithm 6
Front face dark grey.    Front face dark grey.    Front face dark grey.    Front face dark grey.

Now use the instructions on this page to put all of the top layer corners in place.

When you have all four top layer corners in their correct positions you are ready to solve the Equator Layer
